What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between pages or between visits. Related technologies such as local storage do the same job in a slightly different way, and the law treats them the same.

In the United Kingdom, storing or reading information on your device is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. With the exception of what is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for, it requires your consent.

Our approach

We keep this site deliberately light. There is no advertising pixel, no social media tracker, no session recording tool and no third-party marketing tag on any page.

Nothing beyond the strictly necessary is stored until you make a choice in the notice that appears on your first visit. Declining costs you nothing: every page works identically either way.

What this site stores

At the time of writing this policy, the site stores exactly one item, and it is stored only after you interact with the cookie notice.

Analytics

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which record requests to the site including IP address, browser type and the page requested. These logs are generated by the act of serving a page rather than by anything stored on your device, and they are used for security and reliability.

Beyond those logs, no analytics tool is currently running on this site. If we introduce one, it will load only for visitors who have accepted analytics in the notice, we will update this page before it goes live, and we will configure it to collect the minimum useful data with IP handling set to the most privacy-preserving option available.

We will never use analytics on this site to build advertising audiences or to follow you to other websites.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. The notice will then appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently.

In most browsers this is under settings, then privacy, then site data or cookies, where you can search for stakeconsultingltd.com and clear it.

Browser-level controls

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and storage across all sites, either wholesale or on a per-site basis. Guidance is published by each browser maker and is kept more current than we could keep it here.

Blocking storage entirely will not break this site. It only means that the cookie notice cannot remember your answer, so it will ask again.

We update this page whenever what the site stores changes, so the version published here always describes the site as it currently is.
