Practice 01 of 05

OwnedSearch

A page that ranks is one of the few marketing assets that works while nobody is watching it. It does not stop on the first of the month, it does not need a card on file, and it gets more valuable the longer it stays in place. This practice is about building enough of those pages that the business stops depending on rented reach for its baseline.

Asset: pages that keep earning visits

  • Technical health
  • Page architecture
  • Writing
  • Local presence

How we run it

The working approach.

  1. 01

    Make the site legible first

Duplicated pages, conflicting canonicals, slow templates and thin category pages cap everything else. We fix the plumbing before writing a word, because publishing on a broken foundation just adds to the mess.

  2. 02

    Decide what deserves a page

Most sites have too many pages and too few good ones. We map the questions your buyers genuinely ask, decide which of them your site should own outright, and merge or retire the rest.

  3. 03

Write from people, not from tools

The pages that hold their position contain something the writer actually knew. We interview your specialists and build the page around what they say. It is slower than generated copy and it lasts considerably longer.

  4. 04

    Hand it over properly

Templates, briefs and a written style note stay with your team, so the next twenty pages do not need us. An asset you cannot maintain is not really yours.

What you are left holding

The things that stay after we go.

  • 01

A crawl and indexing review your developers can act on line by line

  • 02

A page map: what should exist, what should merge, what should go

  • 03

Writing produced from interviews with the people who actually know

  • 04

Internal linking that sends authority where it earns something

  • 05

Location and service page templates for multi-site businesses

  • 06

A quarterly read on which pages are carrying the traffic

On the ladder

How durable is this layer?

Every practice sits somewhere on the ladder of things a business can own. Knowing which rung you are buying is the difference between an investment and a subscription.

L1Durability: Permanent

The offer

What you sell, who it is for and what it costs. No amount of marketing survives an offer the market does not want, and no consultancy should pretend otherwise. We start here because the answer changes everything above it.

  • Positioning and pricing sense-check
  • Objections gathered from real sales conversations
  • The claim the rest of the marketing has to support

Questions

About this practice.

Technical repairs often show inside two to four months. New pages competing for commercial terms usually take six to twelve, sometimes longer. We say which bucket each piece of work falls into before starting, so nobody is waiting on the wrong timescale.

Where to start

Find out how much of it you actually own.

Tell us what you have and we will send back an independent read: which parts would still be working if the advertising stopped, which would not, and what we would build first. No obligation attached to any of it.
